Hola,
This is going to be brief, as our laptop did not want to turn on last night, and we have no idea why. If anyone has been in Bogota with computor problems in the past, please let us know of a computer repair person that you may have used.
We are now back in Bogota, and waiting for more information regarding the emergency adoption courts that were to be put in place on Monday. Still no news. We have a meeting with the orphanage and our attorney tomorrow, to learn what the problem is. We are seeing other families get the final adoption sign off, and getting ready to go home, but we have not had the same fortune. We are hoping to learn more tomorrow.
We had a great weekend in the small town that we visited. Jose s relatives welcomed us as one of the family. They were all so wonderful. We visited their family farm, where they grow coffee beans, oranges and tangerines. We even got to see how coffee beans are processed.
Sorry no pictures, as they are on the laptop, so we hope to have it looked at soon, so we can be using it to download photos, skype, blogging and keeping up with emails.
It may be a few days before our next entry. but please keep us in your prayers for a quick resolution.

Hi! Good to hear you are back and settled in in Bogota again. Is Eric still there with you? No mention of him leaving today..did he decide to stay with the possibility of the courts opening soon?
We did not have computer problems when we were there but Brian is a computer tech and he remembers that there was a computer repair shop on the same street as Pabloms, Jaques bakery and Azzuros. Not sure if it is still there but might be worth a shot looking for it. He also mentioned that Wilman at Zuetana was very knowledgeable with technology stuff and might be able to give you another suggestion. Good luck!
We also wish you luck at the meeting tomorrow! Hopefully you can get some answers to get things moving in the right direction! It's just time for you guys to be able to come home and begin your life together in Wisconsin!

Hi Joyce & Eric,
Thinking of you often. Sorry to hear of your computer troubles... I hope you can get it up and running again soon! We had an unseasonably warm weekend (upper 70s!) in La Crosse, but this week is back into the chilly temps. Nothing much new here, watching the final presidential debate tonight.
We're still praying for a quick resolution and a safe trip home for all!

Is Eric staying on? I am hoping and praying for good news and your swift return home to "normalcy"--whatever that may be!! The offer stands, but I know you truly hope to leave Colombia for the frozen tundra, I mean Wisconsin...very soon.
On a lighter note, Jordy got these crazy feeted fuzzy pajamas (yeah like the toddler ones) and is wearing them-plans to go to class in them ...They have all these sports balls on them and he looks like...words can't describe. They are a Boys XL and I crack up every time I see him. I've got to get a picture.
Hope the laptop issue gets fixed asap. Where are you stayng? and do you have a phone there?

We read the wonderful news on Hayden's website that the strike is over--AMEN!!! So happy to hear that! Now we need to pray for a quick resolution to your case! I see the Eric did go home yesterday...hope you are doing okay! We have wonderful people there to help you, support you and keep you company!!! Stay strong and you will be home in WI before you know it!

Finally some good news about the strike (I read it on the Haydens website)!! We are praying harder than ever that your case goes quickly now. It had to have been hard to see Eric off earlier this week, but hopefully you are feeling more hopefull now that things are back on. You will all be reunited before you know it. Hang in there!!

Thinking of you today! Have a wonderful weekend in Bogota!! Any fun plans? The boys would sure love Hacienda Magarita--the restaurant with horses that come right into the building and parade around (wouldn't the US Dept of Health LOVE that one?!?!?). It really is cool and lots of fun with a group of people!
